Delicious Traditional Food 😁
While exploring the region, you will also be able to enjoy traditional Albanian food. Here are a few of the dishes you should try:
- Byrek – This is a very popular dish in Albania and it’s often eaten for breakfast or lunch. The byrek is made from filo pastry filled with meat, cheese or spinach. It’s usually served with yogurt on top so make sure you eat it quickly before it becomes soggy!
- Petulla – Delicious, with a slightly crunchy and soft surface on the inside, they are served with honey, feta cheese or chocolate.
The lady that run the guesthouse was so incredibly sweet she made us fresh croissants 🥐 , they were beyond delicious !
